KISMET opened its doors in a 19th C carriage house in New York City in 2002 moving to Southport and a by appointment only showroom in New York City in February 2010. Owner, Tamson Hamrock’s interest in Asian style and antiquities blossomed while living in Asia as a Corporate banker, leading her to pursue an Advanced Degree in Asian Art at SOAS, University of London.

With a focus on design, we make regular trips to Asia to source unique and special pieces for the design conscious client. Our collection of Snapdragon’s sleek, contemporary lacquer furniture, Farrago’s Indian inspired chic designs, exquisite Asian antiques and unique accessories for the home add a sophisticated look to any setting.

For those seeking interior design services, the KISMET approach is unique to the market – blending “feng shui” expertise with an overall design sensibility, infusing spirit and energy into client’s homes. The KISMET style is eclectic yet cosmopolitan, mixing contemporary pieces and antiques with art from a carefully chosen community of artists and designers both local and international.

Tamson’s vision for KISMET was to create a global community of artists, supported by like minded clients all with a common set of values . With this in mind, KISMET hosts a monthly series called “The Art of Living Fully”. Topics explored range from health to wealth and everything in between, set in our informal gallery environment.
