Al Lachman has conducted painting workshops internationally. He was the first American artist to be invited by the Pastel Society of Canada to conduct a private workshop for its members. In addition, he has served as a Director on the Board of Control of the Pastel Society of America and was one of the founders and first instructors of the PSA’s School for Pastels Only at the National Arts Club in NYC, the only of its kind in the U.S
