The human form and nature are the primary inspirations for Bill Clap's work. He is very interested in exploring the intersection of abstraction and representation in drawing and painting, and his work seeks to find terrain and strike a balance between the two.
Bill lives in New York City and paints in his studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He grew up in Glen Ridge, N.J. Bill studied painting in Florence, Italy and in New York at the Art Students League and at Spring Street Studio.
